Auntie Ruthie's 50th birthday bash.

I decorated Auntie Ruthie's birthday party in August with our spare sets of bunting and it looked great, but we had so much fun we forgot to take any photos! The one pic we did take was of the tree we decorated with our Union Jack flags made by ZigZag bunting. They really did look special in the chill out area. Kim at Zigzag makes these to sell but kindly agreed to make us a set to hire out. They are a wonderful alternative to pale florals if you're looking for something different. Kim has a beautiful range of bunting, perfect for gifts so please check them out if you're looking for special Christmas presents. We love the ones with bells and tassels!

Caron and David's Wedding.

Big thanks to Caron for sending these photo's of the White wedding bunting. Such a beautiful sight and so great to see the bunting in an outdoors location!

The new Cambodia bunting!

We designed these new silk flags to match a dress made by a Cambodian dress designer hence the name. They are made up of pink, red, orange and purple silks and in sunshine you can really see the jewel colours in all their glory!

Shelley's bunting

This bunting was made in the style of the Gypsy charm flags but in pale pinks, creams and Aquas for Shelley, (hence the name!). Shelley's mother in law made the prettiest little hearts to go with them, such a fab idea. These flags have been really popular and have been present at 6 other weddings this summer as well as the graduate ball for Fifteen, Cornwall.

Vintage Tea Party bunting travels to Scotland!

This is a lovely picture of the Vintage tea party bunting taken by Lillian and Leonard at the wedding of Zoe Bassi held at the Ardeonaig hotel in Scotland. Zoe very cleverly made pretty matching favours for her guests using the same fabric we used for the flags. Country gingham in Truro have a lovely selection of fabrics which we are itching to make more bunting with!

I found this lovely bit about our flags on Lillian and Leonards blog!

The Ship Inn beer festival

This is the Regatta bunting up for the beer festival at The Ship, Mawgan in Cornwall. We had a fabulous time and especially loved Tom Dale who played Sunday evening. As you can see from the photos, the flags looked so good draped across the front of the pub and against the sunny blue sky.

Bespoke bunting for Helford Creek

We made this bunting for Jem and Sarah Trewhella of Helford Creek apple juice for their stall at Royal Cornwall this weekend. The backdrop was painted by local artist Gawayne Le Gall.

This bunting is made from the same fabrics as the 'Shelley bunting', one of our rental sets, only these have little green spotted flags in between the larger ones.

New festival rockets.

We've had a lot of fun this week designing and making our new festival rockets! We've managed to use up quite a lot of left over saris and other scraps and can't wait to see them on the stall at Stithians Show on Sunday 13th July.

Each rocket has a neat little sleeve that fits snugly over the end of a bamboo pole. Guaranteed to brighten up a garden, makes a beautiful scarecrow!

Porthleven food festival, rainy but a huge success!

We put our Picnic bunting and our Regatta flags up for Porthleven's first ever food festival last weekend all along the habour wall. It certainly brightened up the grey stormy sky, that's for sure, and stood up to the force 8 winds so a great test for durability!

We make it into the May issue of SHE magazine!

Thanks to the amazing Green Union website we got a lovely mention on page 73! If you are planning an Eco wedding, Green Union is the site to spend your time on, go and see for yourself.

Eco bunting for The Eden Project

We are now putting all our tiny scraps of fabric to use and making mini bags of eco bunting exclusively for the gift shop at the Eden Project, St.Austell. We had great fun making 700m of bunting for their 'Big lunch' launch party last month. Photos to follow....!

Daffodil bunting

We decided we should pay tribute to our homeland with a daffodil inspired set of bunting. Here you can see them the morning after at a marquee wedding on the Helford. We used lovely gold, yellow and lime green linen and the effect was just heaven up against the cream coloured lining of the Marquee.

The Regatta flags make it to London despite the snow!

We supplied flags for an event in London organised by The Princes Foundation for Children and the Arts this Febuary. When our couriers couldn't get through the snow we put a shout out on facebook and twitter for help. Just a few moments later a friends father phoned to say he was going 'upcountry' in his landrover and promptly saved the day!

Happy new year!

We've been extremely busy here in the BBB studio working on all our new designs for 2009. It's been a great winter season too with a record number of pubs and restaurants to decorate. A big thank you to all our clients and when we receive your photos, we'll post them here!
This picture, at The Queens Arms in Breage, was taken using my new Blackberry iphone! I won it in a competition run by Enterprise Nation and it has already become a crucial part of my business. The best thing is being able to take photos and email them to clients and of course my blog!
